“THIERRY BAUDET IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT GRASSROOTS LEADERS
IN THE WORLD.”
Thierry Baudet, born in 1983, is one of the best known politicians in the Netherlands. Originally an academic and journalist who considered a career as a concert pianist for some time, he entered politics in 2016 when he initiated, and won, a referendum against the association agreement between the European Union and Ukraine. (The agreement was voted through anyway.)
The following year, Baudet participated in the general elections and, with the Forum for Democracy (FVD) party he founded, garnered two seats in the Dutch parliament. Quickly, his party gained prominence and currently, FVD is the largest party of the country in terms of members. FVD topped the polls in the 2019 Senate elections and gained eight seats in the 2021 Parliamentary elections. A graduate of the University of Amsterdam, Thierry Baudet received his Ph.D. from the University of Leiden under the supervision of Professor Paul Cliteur and Professor Roger Scruton.
A conservative as well as an artist, he is the author of both fictional works and of books on political philosophy, including The Significance of Borders (2012), Oikophobia (2014) and The Politics of Common Sense (2020).
The Covid Conspiracy. The Globalist Takeover and the Great Reset (2022) is not merely an analysis of the untruths told by governments around the world to justify the Covid restrictions, it is also an account of Baudet’s personal development during this dramatic period in our recent history, in which he found himself to be the only elected politician in Europe to campaign against all aspects of Covid policy, from social distancing and masks to lockdowns and vaccines.
The Dutch edition of the book became an instant #1 bestseller in the Netherlands and remained at that position for several weeks.
